Strategically positioned along a natural harbour in the capital city of Trinidad, the Port of Port of Spain (PPOS) is the first and major multipurpose port in the country, with 515 metres of berthing space, and 61 hectares dedicated to cargo operations. Geographically, our port is located in the heart of downtown Port of Spain, the nation’s capital. It is conveniently accessible from seaside and to the main inland transportation routes. PPOS is equipped to serve the main shipping lanes among the Americas, the Caribbean and trade routes that connect the Atlantic and Pacific oceans via the Panama Canal. At PPOS, we aim to become one of the premier ports in the Caribbean.

Pre-arrival Information

  • ETA: Must be sent 24 hours prior to vessel arrival for Deep Sea Calls and 10 hours for Short Sea Calls to the Planning Office (623-2901-4 Ext 261, 257, 179) via email.
